@SteelWool What happened on the previous two attempts?
@SteelWool was it a funds issue or academic?
@corrupt academic tbh
@SteelWool How far did you reach on each attempt? did you drop out for the same reason both times? was it burnout?
@corrupt first time i made it through like 65%, though my grades were falling even taking fewer classes at a time. Turns out I struggle with team assignments and exams.
Second attempt was online through a different school and didn't last a single semester. Part of it was lacking the external structure of pre-defined schedules, though i also had a full time job.
I haven't really given up on my studies, but getting a degree is difficult because the challenging parts have the highest grade value
@SteelWool In my experience there’s always a point in any curriculum where they expect you to carry the challenges undemanded. I never managed to get pass that point but by observing my peers those who could pull the weight by themselves managed to graduate.
The guarantee needed is simply, can you get through those challenges by your own hard work and will? Is there some missing prerrequisite that may be the cause of that friction in your previous attempts?
@corrupt well, my memory isn't the best and self-organization is an issue
@SteelWool Can you work on those skills? there are techniques for information retention and self-management. With those two in the bag a new attempt sounds plausible.
@corrupt failed both attempts
