So let’s say you’re working in a cafe.
You have a hot chocolate kn your menu that consists of steamed milk and sweetened chocolate sauce.
Someone comes in and asks for a “cold hot chocolate”
What do you as the person taking the order interpret that drink as?
@evie ...maybe give them a chocolate bar?
lukewarm chocolate?
beverages
@evie bearing in mind i’ve never worked in food/beverage customer service so idk how that would change my answer, but my instinct is that i’d basically ask them right away what they mean by a ‘cold hot’ thing, and i’d suggest some options. make hot chocolate then cool it down, mix the ingredients without heating them, etc. it’s weird/contradictory enough that i’d assume they had something specific in mind
@evie I'd make it and then pour it over ice excruciatingly slowly while never breaking eye contact
but then again this is probably why I'm not the one who worked at a coffee shop
