Arrange mode of Classic mode (which I think is basically the Saturn version) has a load of cutscenes which so far are mostly just the characters doing bits with each other. And they're subtitled! Apparently this was hard to do!
I didn't actually mention which version I'm playing did I. it's Game Tengoku CruisinMix Special for Switch. There's so much good stuff in this. Like the characters commenting on the games they're from
The Switch version seems to be the one to get, it includes the extra characters for Arcade Mode+ that are DLC in the PS4 and Steam version. Which are all very good. Homura is a baseball player who hits the bullets back at enemies. Tatsujin literally plays like Truxton. You know Clarice
climbing the leaderboards..... I'm top 64 in normal mode for all characters already 😎
@lion I bought it on switch despite having it on ps4 because of this. Much better deal. Wish the same could be said of Dariusburst Chronicle
Generally this is just a really good release. Clearly so much love for the original and Jaleco in general went into this. Not many games this obscure get this kind of treatment. God bless City Connection
