want to transfer my VPS to a new one cos my provider's current packages are better than the one i have for the same money but mine is so legacy theres no upgrade path
but will i actually see it through or will i just buy the new one and never finish transferring everything and pay for 2 VPSs forever
so far i've got my static sites and redirects migrated to the new server... so https://12bit.club is now running off it but none of the subdomains are
okay i have now moved over my 2 dynamic sites that don't use a database which are https://repo.12bit.club/ and ye olde https://fuji.12bit.club/ ... this seems to have been successful
might try and do the DB-having ones at the weekend
i've now migrated https://museum.12bit.club and https://blog.12bit.club along with my crossposter... here's a random image to test that file upload is working
https://hhug.me is migrated too!! and with that, all my websites have been moved!!
the old server still has a few things running on it though, namely my few social media bots and a discord bot and who knows maybe I forgot something else...... i'll deal with those later
the bots are now moved...!! so i think that SHOULD be it, everything i have currently live is now running on the new server!!
decommissioning the old one will probably still take a bit though, i wanna make sure i have everything backed up i could possibly need off there

i'd had that VPS since 2014! originally it was for a project that went nowhere so I decided to put my websites on it. it's served me well all these years
for posterity its IP address was 37.48.84.83. I always thought that was a good one. almost symmetrical

i am in fact doing this btw. i bought the new one and i'm currently setting it up
i've also been streamlining the config for my websites on the old server to make the move easier, this shouldn't have affected anything but if you notice anything broken on them please lmk
