i've been working on my blogging software (the one that powers handheld underground & 12bit blog) adding support for replies to comments among other things. wanted to improve it a bit if i'm going to start a personal blog

the part that still needs work tbh is the admin backend, where i actually write & manage the posts, it hasn't changed much since i started hhug & i never much liked actually using it. need to figure out the most optimal interface to trick my brain into wanting to write things

the bulk of this was done in 2012 when i launched hhug with a few improvements over the years. the bit that handles image uploads somehow dates back to the website i had before that & it looks like this. i just embedded it in an iframe in the current interface & was like fuck it that'll do for now

i've now made it display thumbnails & it shows the filenames & markup for the image when you click on it. made it like 100x more useful. progress is being made
