@kinsey even so: my dialects vowels are arranged completely differently to yours, so reading your IPA takes me a little longer because I have to imagine saying it in an accent

@lizardsquid i'm using the diaphonemes from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA/English, which aren't necessarily fully representative of the dialect i speak either. like /r/ is a simplification, and i actually pronounce /əl/, /əm/, and /ən/ as [l̩], [m̩], and [n̩], etc.

and (unlike for American English), I can use /ɹ/ with relative confidence because it's the only "r-like" sound in my dialect, and almost never occurs after a vowel.
