programming, games, yet-another-list
today I entered all* of the games I own into a database, with various details about them, so I can sort them by when they were released or when I bought them or by name or whether I've played them.
*only including PC games, and not including the games I have on disc (all of those were left at my parents' home, so I'd have to go get them to know what they are)

eventually I'm going to use this list for Avery Plays Averything, the Lets Play series I want to start where I play through every game I own.
I had thought that maybe I should play them in order of release, but that means I'd be starting the show with 4 games I don't particularly care for, so it would probably be horrible.

@lizardsquid
Have you tried using wikidata to order said games?

@lizardsquid
I did write a program to draw a genealogy tree in a week with python and the wikidata sparql endpoint for a university exam

@lizardsquid This could edge you away from the two ends of publication history....

@wobin How so?
If I play a game from 2003, then the next randomly chosen game could be in 2018 (the most recent game I own), or in 1990 (the oldest game I own)

@lizardsquid (Sounds like if you went and got them, they'd be fun to go through. :3)

gods I'm so boring... instead of playing games, I'm sitting here making lists
