the missus is likely moving to florida for an as-yet undetermined length of time in order to help take care of her dad, and she'd be taking the little one with her. i'd be staying here for job reasons

i've never been without the little one for more than a couple of days at a time, and i've never lived alone for more than a month, and even then i spent every minute i could with the missus. i'm sure things will be just fine, but the thought of all of this is a little terrifying
