looking at the TV in the airport and seeing some commercial for a news show, with big letters saying STAY UPDATED STAY INFORMED
and i had the epiphany that news media is peddling an unhealthy standard of informedness kinda like how beauty commercials peddle unhealthy body standards
that's all it is. the main difference is just which insecurity they prey on
