It's interesting how joining mastodon made me stop caring about follow numbers or the amount of notes/likes a post got - genuine human interaction is so much more valuable than that
I have no idea what my follow count is on mastodon - I could go look, but I just don't care! I love everyone that follows me and that's all that matters.
@lizardsquid very very same.
@lizardsquid like for real mastodon has been ....an overall net positive experience for me? and it's...really helped me as a person I feel.
@Nine yes! it's what I've been wanting from social networks for years! I've only been here... 2 weeks?
and already I feel like it's been worth it, unlike birdsite, which I've been on for a month and a half and already want to delete
@lizardsquid @Nine
I felt the same when I first joined, and I still do now :3
@lizardsquid twitter user for... well... years tbh. gosh. ._.; back in 2007 or some crap I think???
Masto for maybe just less than a year? maybe just over? I forget, time is..odd.
But either way I feel the exact same. Every day that goes by I feel less and less like ME on Twitter, I considered changing to this avatar and a similar name on hellbird but... why would I want to, now??
@Nine i find it hard to even interact with people I know irl on twitter...
@lizardsquid same, sometimes. :( I prefer to just... I dunno, send them a message over email or something instead or just wait until I see them in person to comment on it because over twitter it's just...it's awful. you can't even discuss anything.
@lizardsquid having that follow count up in your face at all times like on bird hell is pure poison, I swear
