I played the Mistborn board game today.
I really didn't like it.

@lizardsquid I was the only new player in a group of 3, so I was already at a disadvantage. The game is very politicky but also requires either wicked-good foresight or dumb luck to ensure you get enough points in the early game not to be out of the running by Turn 3. A lot of it also seemed to just be "Hey, guys, look! References!" which might be fun, but I haven't read Mistborn.

@lizardsquid Yeah. I'm also just not the hugest fan of politics games like that because it's hard to know the right choices to make unless you're well-versed in the game. Also in general the game just seemed unbalanced in favour of one win condition over the other and overall very slow and plodding, but in a bad way.
