My classical training hates the discord and lack of structure, but my love of Dave Brubeck keeps me fascinated. Is it switching between 7/8 and 9/8?

Remember that you and your partners don't have to like all the same things with the same intensities.

I have a similar back and forth with @Canageek every time he sends me a metal song. There's some I like, but I'm rarely in the mood, and the metal that inspires me is bad Metallica.
