Crom's religious trauma (christianity)

here's what i mean by my religious trauma:

I got involved with a bible study/church in college early on

they became my primary group of friends i spent all my time with

one session, the leader suddenly turned on me and drilled into my favorite passages from the bible and berated every little aspect of it. he made it clear to me that he was *the leader* and was right

i talked to my friends, especially the one who got involved. everyone refused to talk to him to get him to apologize. nobody said a word when it happened in the study.

i lost all my friends

@lizardsquid ironically, the only church i will ever go to is in my hometown, because the pastor is very liberal and accepting of gay and trans people

she is a good Lutheran minister who was one of the first people from my home town I trusted with my sexual identity, and even she hasn't been successful in getting me to be comfortable with trying to go to church again
