life update: don't know if I mentioned it here or just on @octopus - yesterday was my last day at my previous job; I don't know exactly what I'm going to do next but I think I want to do something more along the lines of freelancing / being self-employed than before. I don't know if I'll necessarily be spending more time on Mastodon but usage patterns will probably shift more to the middle of the day (it's 8:30am here for reference). Going to take at least a few days off for myself first, tho.
