instead of yelling at individuals you can simply block them

Follow

let's break kayfabe for a minute:

have you considered: personally blocking each person you don't like for "spamming" "the" hashtag, instead of rallying for "your" benevolent leaders to cut all ties with the entirety of the realm of "their" wicked despots and causing a rift in the propagation of the utopia that is decentralized federated microblogging posts

or do you just want to punish people

also: how many people complaining about the hashtag being "misused" are actually instance moderators who use it as an actual tool? and how many of them are just raising hell for hell's sake

extremely "get off this frequency, civilian" vibes coming from [checks notes] other civilians

@mavica_again 'i came here to complain and i'm very disappointed in what's happening in this tag that i have no need for myself, what a disgrace'

@mavica_again I don't know what the point of defederating is if not to remove assholes trying to polute a useful tool of antifascism.

@MutualAidMember yes, defederating an *entire instance* is useful when there is actual harm caused by *the entire instance* i.e. kiwifarms

getting uppity because that "tool" (a hashtag is not a formally defined tool) is being "misused" by people pointing out how it opens up to a lot of power trips from grifters is not it

@MutualAidMember i'm not against defederating from entire instances. i have been an instance founder and moderator between 2017 - 2021 (i have stepped down since).

i am, however, against the little cliques in the fediverse swaying people with their clout and mobbing certain minorities because they won't stand up for their grifting

@MutualAidMember but i see that you're reblogging are0h calling jorts.horse "white supremacists" (LMAO) so clearly you don't listen to reason

@mavica_again instead of being a nuisance in the tag, you can simply not
