Web dev rant

Making a website nowadays sounds awful. You gotta learn so many languages, tools and other stuff even if you're making something small. WebAssembly looks interesting but it still has ways to go as long as it depends on HTML and JS

@SteelWool i think if you're using webassembly to make a website you already made a wrong choice somewhere

@mavica_again I'm rather annoyed at having to learn multiple languages / technologies to make one thing.

While not everything is bad nowadays and there have been improvements, things have also gotten more complicated over the years and I feel it's in big part due to having to keep HTML and CSS as standards (JS isn't perfect either but it's a whole other beast)

I dunno, I feel web dev is lacking simplicity.

re: Web dev rant

@SteelWool there are plenty of small css frameworks like bootstrap to make things easier but running code on the client's machine just to show pictures and words ain't it chief

@mavica_again I don't know enough about this to make any kind of further discussion so I rest my case
