i can now type a post with the nc100 keyboard
i need to make permanent fittings for everything and get much thinner and shorter cables to plug everything together without spaghetti spilling out of every orifice, and then figure out a power solution (i'd like something that the pi can battery monitor on, which seems like nobody has ever done, everybody just plugs a powerbank and prays) but the main concept is solid
so these are the internals otherwise so far
currently everything is double-sided taped down, the internal USB stuff (keyboard, screen) has been soldered straight onto the removed headers to make clearances work, i have a flat cable breakout for hdmi to make that fit in
the ports at the back will be located with a 3D printed plate i need to design yet
i'm still not sure how the screen will attach because id like it to sit at an angle, need to think about a way to hold it in place
@mavica_again aww yeah. :D it looks like it'd be nice to type on too.
@fixative_xyz it absolutely isn't (thanks alan sugar)
@mavica_again ah damn. :(((
@mavica_again in all seriousness, i think cyberdecks are cool as. are you gonna end up making this machine 1 or keep it as close to stock as possible?
@mavica_again hell yeah (pun intended)! half-life 1 is the next test.
@mavica_again oh no, i'm sorry. :<
