the best really cool human invention is internal sd card readers that stop working entirely until next reboot if you eject them and that treat cards as readonly if you remove them without ejecting

i have come to the conclusion internal card readers for computers are something that sounds incredibly convenient in theory and nobody has ever made it work in practice

@mavica_again Yeah, everyone seems to go cheap on the internal ones.

My laptop current laptop has the best internal one I've had yet, which still has a few drawbacks:
- If I'm using bluetooth headphones it stops functioning.
- If I format a bootable SD card (with a different device) it will bluescreen windows when I insert it.

@mavica_again close tie, i reckon, with external readers that can't recognise a card's full capacity, so rewrite it so it's only ever 512mb from that day forward

@mavica_again I absolutely love it when device drivers take "Safely remove hardware" (the mounted SD card) to actually mean "Safely remove hardware" (the entire suite of media card readers on that internal cable).
