@masklayer afaik autofocus is entirely dependent on camera? lens has no sensors. if I'm not mistaken canon systems have motor on lens and nikon on camera, but that's all the electrical connections between lens and camera do??

@squirrel @masklayer new nikons also have motors on the lens. they stopped having motors in the body for all lower end cameras with the d40 iirc

@squirrel @bea Also this company makes mostly super cheap knockoff nikon and canon lenses, so I imagine much of the electronics in their stuff is the same and they probably put different firmware on it to let it talk to nikon or canon cameras. maybe. idk
