the backlight is super crummy and i remember previous ones i owned actually being readable in the dark

@colon_three @maple one thing you can do to start finding out is holding the bottom-right button down for three seconds, should then display "CASIo" on the screen while you're holding it down
some of the fakes also implement that little easter egg but those are usually good enough to perform as well as the real ones
