For dwi~ (a language I'm making) I decided that the language is spoken in a European country that is only sometimes there, and can only be accessed through foggy forests at night.

It's going to have dwarves and kobolds and gremlins and humans - but it's not going to have elves, or magic, or dragons

I'm wondering what else I can do to make it feel less... generic?

except! writing was brought to the country by accident, by latin speakers, and the speakers of dwi~ decided that they should invent their own alphabet!
