trying to avoid the 💿 🐴, but a question of masto etiquette -

so pronouns listed in profile good, but should i remove mention of being cishet from my profile as well?

i know the idea of listing pronouns is to normalize that/make it easier on trans people, and listing my being cishet may be at cross-purposes with that. but i feel it's also kind of important to note so that i don't come across as like... a bullshit party crasher. i want to make sure i'm properly labelled so people can avoid me.

what should i be doing here basically? i'm trying to not step on toes either way, because inviting myself into spaces where i am not invited is boorish, but also pressuring people to out themselves is boorish.

is there a community standard i should be looking to here, or a like commonly done thing practice?

i know i'm probably overthinking this at this point, but overthinking is something i'm quite good at lol

@wigglytuffitout hm... good question, pretty sure masto hasn't grown any etiquette around that yet

I'd say that putting that you're cis in your bio isn't in any way shape or form necessary but there's also no reason at all that you shouldn't put it in there

So go by your personal preference on if you want it there or not
