a problem user is now on flounce number two, of the "i'm quitting this hobby forever it's terrible for my mental health" type - statements always get walked back to "except for this server".
tbh if it happens a third time i am leaning towards banhammer. is this bonkers too harsh or too soft?

my reasoning is that the statements go one of two ways
1. it's bullshit attention seeking, fishing for "nooo you're so greeeat please stay"
2. it's the truth, which is worse, because if the entire hobby is toxic for this person, keeping them on the server as a gateway back into those toxic behaviors is pretty fucking cruel. at that point it's clearly my onus as mod to cut them off if they're here for digital self-harm.
