@trekkie just watched the first two episodes and i'm feeling exactly the same. who cares that the betazoids aren't identical to how they were in the tng era, who knows how 900 years have affected their telepathic abilities, it's cool as hell to see a deaf character front and center, it's such a great show so far

i actually think starfleet academy may become one of my favourite star trek series, just absolutely loved the first episode, love how it deals with the essentially post apocalypse situation of rebuilding post-burn, starfleet finding it's feet again and relearning what and who it used to be after a century of chaos and barely surviving #startrek
