I have a 12" iBook G4 which suffered from a bad LCD panel. After looking at some schematics I realised the pinout was identical to a spare ThinkPad LCD I had. After a swap the new screen works, however the panel is not recognised by the system. The result is that native 1024x768 works but no other video modes, and backlight can't be adjusted (though it does dim at idle so I know the hardware supports it).

Is there a way to fake or force identification to improve support?

If your arguement towards trans women is about how they have not suffered in the right ways, then you could stand to examine why your relationship to womanhood is defined this way.
