-Gaming stuff, but I play a lot of stuff from the internet and few mainstream games. I don't know who else has an interest in that.

For the game stuff, I'd have to recommend elekk.xyz, having not checked deeper into the instance list at joinmastodon.com. @squirrel's girlfriend @noelle knows some stuff about development, and her instance is centered around games, with a strong anti-GamerGate stance.

and here I am. I wasn't intending to get into that stuff though - mostly talking about games I played themselves. Thank you for the recommendation though.
