The egg is some kind of key, so I take it to the Mystic Ruins for wherever it need to go there.

Mystic ruins station is a tall wooden monstrosity, built off some broken railway bridge. The train is parked less than a metre from where the tracks bend horribly and the bridge stops. I'm fairly certain this isn't safe, and at some point a train conductor will misjudge stuff and the entire train will crash upon itself and into the sea.

This game seems to be my kind of odd. :D

I faffed about in some absurdly generous pinball tables until I got enough rings to fill the casino vault to the point I could take a chaos emerald. Considering the rings were the casino's in the first place I think that's still robbery.

Then a blue Fabergé egg or something descended down a nearby alley, and *then* the emerald gets nicked within minutes of it being in our possession, maybe to hide Eggman's stance on gambling for the time being.
