Turns out the reason I didn't have all the thingies in this Snapshot level is because if you take the extended path it ends with you dropping through a bunch of thingies and onto the level end - and evidently it takes too long for three of them to register for the final tally.
Between that and the last major mechanic being crash-happy, is this game going to start falling apart on me now?
