imo the only good uses for cream cheese are...
1: cheesecake
2: chili dip
🤷

@alexis I confess that I sometimes forget that bagels are a thing that people eat, and that cream cheese is a common spread for 😅

this physically hurts to read but i respect your opinion and think it's valid.
more bagels with the works for me
food
@Zelli I often forget that bagels are a thing that people eat
I mean, I think blueberry bagels are pdamn good once in a great while, but that's about the extent of my bageling.
food
@Chel That's fair! I only recently (basically when I started my current job xD ) discovered bagels but at this point a bagel with the works (minus tomato slices) and sun-dried tomato cream cheese is a weekly lunch date for me x3
food
@Zelli bit too bready for my taste, if that makes sense. the density throws me off.
I tend to favor biscuits/biscuit sandwiches/croissants/croissant sandwiches/muffins for my quick on-the-go things of that sort
...I think bagels are just less of a big thing over here though, so that prolly makes sense
food
@Chel hmmmm now i'm wondering if switching out bagels for an english muffin would be any good. maybe if you toast the muffin first...
food
@Zelli not really fond of english muffins by themselves, but if you toast and butter them, and toss some strawberry jam on them, they can be pretty good
or, if you have the time for it, can toast one up and drop a sunny side egg on it, then sprinkle a lil hot sauce on top... I used to do this a lot, though I'd typically also add a slice or two of honey ham to give it a bit of salty and sweet to balance the flavors out with
and theres always the reliable old sausage breakfast sandwich route

@Chel When it comes to sticking lox, capers, and onions on a bagel, I won't use anything else.
None of us wants a repeat of the day I decided to try epoxy.
