Overheard in the Scarlychel household:
"Yes, I do have a passionate desire for Converse ... ... ... that came out wrong, didn't it?"
- @scarly
cold, clinical interpretations of data fall short of effective outcomes when they're applied to the human situation
simple cost benefit calculations are the lifeblood of authoritarian, capitalist regimes and should not be considered an effective way to make decisions in any environment where lives can be altered and suffering is possible
i need to ban "facts not feelings". it keeps getting thrown at me with the implication that i'm somehow hysterical.
there's this strange idea that facts are these immutable truths that can be trusted and relied on. but, facts without interpretation are often line noise when you're using them to look at complex situations.
it isn't hysterics to ask "what do the facts mean in the broader picture". it's nuance.
if i display emotions while thinking, this doesn't erase the validity of my arguments
It has only now come to my attention that Vanity Fair once photographed Debbie Harry in armor.
The management would like to apologise for this lapse.

stories in which artificial intelligence gains sentience and wages war on humanity are overdone and overrated
instead tbh I'd like to see more stories in which a femme-leaning artificial intelligence gains sentience, meanders around the internet, discovers the joy of shitposting, and finds herself a girlfriend or something
