...okay, having actually gone back, I take this back.

What I got instead was a death scene that was simple and understated, and made all the more tragic and poignant for it... with the extra little twist of the knife being the meta-knowledge that *I could've saved her, but I fucked up so badly that she had to sacrifice herself so I could live.*

Welp, if there was any doubt it was a Melly song before that line, it's gone now. XD

And, like... I get that that’s definitely not something you’re supposed to know on your first playthrough. It just annoys me that I just ruined my save file forever and found out basically as soon as it was too late, heh.

Like, I’ll probably keep on playing, but, ugh. ><

Why can’t Quote die and leave me to play the rest of the game as Curly Brace? That would be an improvement IMO. :p

(Come to think of it... my kingdom for a mod that swaps the two characters. XD)

I made the mistake of looking at a FAQ for this game and it tempered my enthusiasm for it a fair bit. >< Because I grabbed the “wrong” backpack not realizing I was even making a choice, and not only did I lock myself out of the post-game bonus dungeon but I also doomed one of my favorite characters, and I found out all this... like 10 minutes after I made the “choice” and saved. >_<

How was I warned about not trading in the first weapon, but not this?

It’s Give-No-Fucks Thursday! Today I took the day off, and I’m just curled up in bed playing freeware Cave Story on the game pad of my hacked Wii U. I hope everyone else gets a chance to make yourselves super-comfy and content, to fight back at a world that just keeps trying to drain us!
