Ugh. Gotta love people flipping out that Alienware now won't ship PCs to California because California passed energy usage requirements on PC hardware.

The real problem here isn't that The Gamers can't get their ridiculously wasteful jerkoff boxes. The real problem is the regulation exempts things that are actually concerns.

Datacenters and server hardware? Exempt. DIY gaming PCs? Exempt. Cryptomining? Haha dream on.

Sigh.

something I've kind of gradually learned from quiet conversations over the years is that there are a LOT of people out there who are in some sense trans, but who will never talk about it openly and never transition because it doesn't feel possible to them
