I'm gonna be a guest on the Edge Case Collective livestream now actually, talking about Chrono Cross and its polarizing status.

ECC's a queer-centered space for discussing games and gaming and this segment's basically about discussing the positives in maligned/polarizing games.

Genshin Impact is a mostly single-player game with optional 4-player co-op support, supposedly monetized via loot boxes.

However, their EULA states that:

- The game will install a kernel level anti-cheat and include a ring 0 driver.

- Mihoyo (the game company) reserves the right to monitor your computer when *the game is not running*.

They also actively work to block playing the game on virtual machines and other forms of process isolation.

I'm getting the feeling that this is less about loot box sales and more about extreme data mining. :blobnervous:

Twitch Stream

This is the very last night for Ys Origin, latter half of the third story. I don't know how the final conclusion is going to play out yet, but we're approaching what sounds like a different conclusion from the others.

Let's see what all this brings.

It's time for Ys Origin, bonus round! It's time for Toal! Not sure what to expect in a lot of senses, but it's time to get to the bottom of it.

And so we shall!

Might be the last night of the Ys 6 engine altogether, though. I'll miss it.

I hate the word "professionalism". I've never heard it used in any context but "DIscard who you are and act in a way I expect you to act"

the itch.io bundle

@troodon @tessaracked

Hi, I was pinged because I've been building a directory of all the games in the itch.io bundle, with sections regarding accessibility needs, minority representation, subject matter, genre, medium, and so on! The document is huge already, but it's not comprehensive, so I welcome any additions to it. You can browse and edit the document at:

docs.google.com/document/d/11e

For games that don't require timing or hand-eye coordination, I'd recommend you to take a look at the list of games like that in the "slow or self-paced" section of that document. Some of the games in the "one-button" section don't require hand-eye coordination, but a lot of those may require timing. Usually games in the "visual novel" genre don't require timing or hand-eye coordination. Anything else you're looking for in the bundle? I can help you find it! :)
