It's the middle of the night, and I'm eating raspberries. It's a good night

For whatever reason, Mastodon seems to not play those gifs correctly. Sorry about that

It's wild that the original Castlevania is not a Metroidvania

I started my vacation just in time to catch a cold

I just flew back in to my hometown, and the first thing I saw when I left the airport was a gang of Hatsune Miku cosplayers hanging out behind a convenience store. Truly, I am home

I was recently reminded of The Mind's Eye, which was an old 3D art/animation video I watched when I was very young. It and its sequel, Beyond the Mind's Eye, are big inspirations for my art today. The whole thing is on YouTube here: youtube.com/watch?v=cbG34c1qor

I used this website to send a letter to myself in 5 years. I've never done something like this before, but it was an interesting experience, and just writing the letter put a lot of my life into perspective. I hope I'll be proud of the person I've become when I read it again

Hm, yes. These so-called "video-games" are quite intriguing

@InspectorCaracal On that note, this reminded me that I need to add the libtcod license to the Monster Genetics binary

@InspectorCaracal As far as I know, it does need to be included even with the compiled final project as part of either the documentation or in an about page

@InspectorCaracal No, you don't; it's not a copyleft license. If you include the library itself, then you need to include the MIT license with it (chances are, it's already there), but your code can have any compatible license
