oh god so apparently there's this quest where I have to go talk to this fucking John Despot or whatever his name is. fuck. and it's taking me on a trek through... god only knows WHAT??? and it's a fucking ugly mess, and...

also another HUGE problem. There's a bunch of sidequests, and yet NOTHING. NOTHING fucking explains anything.

This writing is so bad oh my god.
"There's this big dome, supposed to be the city of the future! But this VIRUS turned up! You know? The virus that's never been mentioned before? This virus that is killing loads of people? This virus we're looking for a cure for? That we injected you with as a guinea pig against your consent?? Yeah that virus you know ALL about so we're not gonna explain anything more"

and then you're like "...well okay I guess I'm cured, great, ... now what? How do I get home?"
"Good news! You're cured! But we need you to go fetch the cure. go get it."

All the sidquests do this too. Like, there's cybernetic, friendly feral ghouls around. Why? this mod sure as fuckin' hell ain't gonna tell you!

You find where they are! There's a couple of punk looking girls with rad looking hair, one of which is a ghoul, and they are... doing... research??? on them???

Oh gosh, I told them the BoS are onto them! So they release the two ghouls they've got! (wait wasn't there three? HAHA TOO BAD THIS WILL NEVER EVER GET ADDRESSED AT ALL but there's corpses of two in a bathtub nearby so maybe that's what happened! but that makes FOUR! TOO BAD NO ANSWERS FOR YOU!!)
So you report back! Turns out old asshole has history with them! what history? WHO FUCKING KNOWS IT WON'T SAY!

aaand that's THAT quest completely done with with NO FURTHER ANSWERS, just fuckin' tossed out the door. gone. done.

earlier on there's an old guy in a shack, who says him and his buddy across the little ravine in a separate shack are the only survivors...

if you're asking "wait, survivors of what?" too bad, you will NEVER GET ANY ANSWERS EVER.

this whole bullshit is so fucking badly written and not even slightly explained and it's like some hyperactive teenager wrote it and kept forgetting to actually WRITE A STORY instead of just slapping in as many "wicked cool things" they could think of.

I'm genuinely tempted to just... kill everyone and everything in this mod just so I can fucking leave asap and just delete the goddamn mod but fffuuuck... there had BETTER be some decent fucking quest rewards from this. christ.

(oh and the two kidnapped/absconded feral ghouls?? because this mod is badly written, whereas all the other cybernetic ghouls are set to be friendly so they do not attack you - and neither do companions with you - these two never are. and as an additional note, if you kill them even in self defence, the two npcs go immediately hostile for not dying to them. fucksake.)

oh AND I keep getting popup messages saying "You do not have an ignition key" seemingly at random and what the fuck is that about.
