@theoutrider I used to LOVE Outrun's gameover screen because just the peaceful FM synth noise of traffic zooming by and the pretty music that plays was...

...really soothing. (or I guess it was the waves lapping at the beach but I prefer the idea of just...soft noises of traffic speeding by in the near distance somehow, like you said, as well.)

idk I just got this image of her speeding down a country road in a convertable ferarri or something , Outrun style, then suddenly slamming the brakes on, screeching to a sideways halt by the side of the road, then staring out with wide eyes into a field, very carefully climbing out, and leaning on the fence, eyes full of wonder and adoration at a wild horse and her foal just frolicking in a field in the near distance, unconcerned with the traffic and noise.

i still got images in my head of that four armed buff demon gal in her sports car racing like her life depends on it because she LOVES the thrill of speed and awesome cars and the roar of the engine.

She loves to fight, she loves loud music, she loves noise, swearing, racing. She couldn't give two shits about the law

but hurt an animal and she will end you. She will literally wreck her brand new top of the line sports car rather than hit a critter.
