Sat in a mcdormbls eating lunch and there's a group of friends (mixed gender too) behind me talking about games together, and they're taking about overwatch and fallout and one of them just said fallout New Vegas is the best out of the new ones, and now they're talking about overwatch as well and their favourite heroes. Kinda nice.

There's some okay stuff but honestly I'm thinking I should just throw this crap into a bin and just be done with it. I might revisit the ideas, but dear god NOT like this. jfc. I was so ignorant of so much, botha bout myself and the world.

clearly i was having deep seated problems with gender and sexuality at the time but was too dense/in denial to actually realise it, and internalised it with a lot of really awful ideas and behaviours -_-; like, a LOT. @frak@mastodon.xyz I used a mac for like, the first time, a decade or two aago for maybe all of 20 minutes, just to look at the net, and again last night on a more modern apple laptop, and it was weirder last night, but I think if I'd had more time and more pressing need I would have been able to work out how to use the system properly. It'll be a culture shock I'm sure, but while things probably won't be very similar at all, once you get the hang of it, it'll come more naturally.

using a mac when you have used pcs for most of your 30+ years of life is an alien experience.

seriously it's confusing, nothing makes sense, nothing does what you expect, nothing functions how you expect. It's extremely unsettling.

I imagine the same is true in reverse, coming from macs to use a PC for the first time. It's like learning an entirely different language. Same with Linux I imagine. Though it'd be interesting to try that out at some point, see what it's like
