@BigBeanKitten@chitter.xyz (the more recent ones after that definitely shifted to more combat focused gameplay, especially the recent super modern remake ones like Rise of the Tomb Raider and its sequel, and the puzzle elements are just small little tiny tombs that unlock treasures and some background lore I guess. They're not terrible but they're def not like the original games, for beptter or worse)
@BigBeanKitten@chitter.xyz As far as I am aware, TR2 and 3 both follow the same sort of formula as TR1. The controls are basically the same with some additional actions you can do and the graphics are better, and there's a better tutorial section in 2 as well that lets you explore more of the house. I haven't played 3 but they're basically the same sorta game and engine and play style.

@knownrobes fuck yes babey its salt marsh harvest mouse time
these lil bebs are very special to me because they live in my backyard & they're super endangered
they're endemic to the SF bay salt marshes & are adapted to high saline levels--they can basically drink saltwater to survive if no fresh can be found. they're also good swimmers!
vp mike pence, a known piece of shit, hates these mice in addition to hating lgbtq+ folks, & thinks we spend too much $ on them, to which i say FUCK YOU MIKE
found out something just absolutely precious and lovely ;w;
so our neighbours had two long haired black and white cats, brothers I think. Pretty old, one recently passed due to old age sadly, but it turns out Sid, our Maine Coon kitty is very very friendly with them, and they both seemed to either at least tolerate, or actively welcome his company...
Since the eldest of the two cats passed, Sid's been keeping the other company. ;w; Just, curling up beside each other. so cute, so good ;w;
@GlitterDisaster pretty orb tho for real
okay gotta say while Lapis x Labyrinth has somewhat uninspiring level design and appearance
the game is fun as heck and really awesome
but good lord I often just die due to running out of the five minute timer in one stage ugh.
(you got five minutes per stage of a quest to get through it, each time you reach the exit, the timer resets when you load into the next area.The game is largely navigating the maze to find enough seals to break to open the exit, or trying for ALL the seals for bonus)
