@007@mastodon.xyz I mean fair, that cliff edge IS just a sudden sharp line, and the tree just... sits on the ground rather than having the grass stuff around it which IS a bit of a shame, but the game comes out on the 15th right? So those clearly must be from pre-release shots rather than current gameplay. It doesn't mean they WILL fix that, but I mean, it could STILL happen. Even if it doesn't, it's still such a minor thing to be up in arms about to such a degree as that reddit post seems to be.

Honestly getting a fresh start will probably deal with the legions of hacked pokemon that still get through from older generations. Yeah it's gonna suck for a little bit if you can't keep your older gen pokemon trading forward, but they say they'll work out ways of including them later on, so... eeeehhhhh
