@envgen hey no problem. ^^ Glad everything is ticking along nicely and that you didn't have to spend extra money ^^
@envgen modular PSUs are like that. they do like to make sure you got more cables than ya need. also aaaa floppy cable ;w;
@envgen yeah that blocky zappy boi is dead rip :<

@pup_hime ...why do i want to put a little Solid Snake figure trying to sneak past those walrus vision cones
@envgen Unless ther'es some serious damage causing a massive short that feeds back into the PSU on the motherboard (ridiculously unlikely, you'd probably be able to see the damaage too in that case), and the PSU itself doesn't go "UHHH FUCK NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE let's just put a stop to THAT" and turn itself off as well to prevent damage, then no.
The worst that will happen is that the machine won't turn on at all, meaning it's likely the motherboard in which case.
body, gross, acne????
...so there's a slightly raised lump between the middle and ring finger bottom knuckles on my left hand that's been itching for a while.
Turns out it was... a spot??? and I just got a buncha waxy gunk outta it???
fucking.. how?!? how the bloody hell did I get a fucking spot THERE of all places?!
@codl XXXhuge please
@envgen Regardless, pop the PSU out, or have a quick sniff near the components. Chances are you might smell a sort of mixture of burned plastic/silicon and copper, or see bulging transistors. I've had several PSUs do this, after a long time of use, and had to replace them. THe first time, I thought it was something else... then the PSU popped terminally, and took out my mobo as well. ._.;
@envgen Given that after waiting some time, you could power it back on again, however briefly, I suspect the most likely culprit is the PSU. It hasn't COMPLETELY popped yet, but definitely there's something wrong because it keeps tripping its own systems to prevent further damage.
Normally, PSUs are designed so unless they catastrophically fail (blue smoke etc), they won't fry anything else, and modern motherboards often have protection built in for that too. Try a different PSU if you can?
yeah i'm moving over to chitter.xyz now. Soooo go there! I'm there now.
