Duck Measuring Contest (duckposting!!)
2: another, far more zoomed in photo taken some days earlier, with all three of these ducks curled up by the nearby river, with some trees in the background, and a bush off to the left. they are "duckloafing", snoozing peacefully in the shade and dappled sunshine. <3
3: a 1:1, unzoomed photo of all three taken today, the same day as the first, showing the ducks coming over to eat the pellets I tossed on the grass for them. They're finally getting less wary!

1: A slightly zoomed in photo of three large ducks. One is white with an orange bill (presumably an American Pekin Duck), one is the same sort of very large duck, but melanistic; the bill and feathers are all dark, almost black. The third and smallest of them is some kind of pekin/mallard hybrid perhaps? as it has mallard like colouration (tawny with dark irridescent blue underwing feathers, though with a white front of the neck). They are foraging in grass!
