@Vordus @Ivafakename I am reminded of Sir Bearington
@owashii@tech.lgbt my brain: BIG IRON TRADING QUEST
me: goddammit quit it we already finished New Vegas for probably the last time there's nothing more to do in it
brain: b-but... big iron ;;
me: THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH FALLOUT NEW VEGAS
brain: well what does it have to do with?
me: ....YOU TELL ME!?
brain: ...oh right yeah
@monorail it'd have ot be ai directed unfortunately and I dunno i have a hard time trusting The Algorithm in this current day and age so it's for a future point I think
@monorail top level play.
@monorail GENIUS design: the hilarious design, but each time you die, it points out possibilities of where you could have maybe saved yourself, not as a "aahahaha look at you noob look what you did wrong and what you should have done", more of a "okay we think if you try this it might go different for ya"
good design: the developers of N++ found that a lot of playtesters felt like they sucked at the game because they kept dying, so they made it so that the demos that play on the title screen are all of the character failing. you'll never see the ninja on the menu reach the exit. it's as if to say "don't worry, you're supposed to die a lot. you'll get there."
hilarious design: as you play the game, those demos get replaced with your own fuckups
@publicvoit alright that's actually pretty rad

Now, if this isn't the coolest thing you've seen today then you need to close the refrigerator. It's an animation of how bridges were built in Central Europe in the middle-ages.
@ifixcoinops for real. I used to call that particular pc "Bastard" until I realised that the reason it kept crashing so much was because the heatsink was literally only held on by sheer willpower and rotting thermal paste. the clips were just... gone. and this was a Cyrix processor ... soo...
Poor thing got retroactively renamed to Cirno after I realised that. She was trying her best. ;w;
@ifixcoinops and it was one of those awful cases where to get the side of the case off and on you had to slide it into place and if you got it even slightly wrong, it was really hard to get off to set back in place again
@ifixcoinops i dunno i once had a case which literally was like trying to unpack a box made of razorblades because whoever made it, the inner frame was bare metal and it got SHARP AS HELL. I had so many damn cuts from the damn thing just trying to open and close it
Facebook trying to police adults in VR
Eat shit and die Zuckerfuck. If me and a friend want to get consensually touchy in VR in a private space there is nothing you can do to stop us, and no matter how much you try to act like the dictator of VR space all you’re going to do is push people to jailbreak and home brew the shit out of every device you put on the market.
@SerenaBeancatte@chitter.xyz it was literally "what if the first game's final boss, but double the amount of targets, in a tiny little friggin room, where you have to aim way up to see the targets, AND you're constnatly having explosives thrown at you from a fixed position you can't shoot back at and can't avoid"
fuuuuck Max Payne 2 for that shit
@SerenaBeancatte@chitter.xyz Same feelings I have bout Max Payne 2. Enjoyed the gameplay of the first one, got the second, played the hell outta it, enjoyed it more, got to the final boss and good LORD SO MUCH BULLSHIT THAT FINAL BOSS WAS.
i just ended up watching a fucking video of it and.. guh. just... guh. meh. blargh. fuck. egh. wish I hadn't put all that effort into it int he first place.
some personal character design stuff for a side game I've been part of. Real good time but im just happy to have something more colored done for once lol
