...the anime Buu saga was REALLY BAD for that, way too much and too frivolous use of comic relief where it wasn't needed or wanted.

@owashii@snouts.online I mean it has one of the strongest endings ever, Vegeta's character development goes full circle and is awesome as hell, tearjerking even, one of the most powerful moments in the entirety of DBZ is his sacrifice to try and stop Buu (even if it fails)...
