@esvrld@octodon.social in the uk we have something called HP Sauce. "Common knowledge" states the HP stands for "Houses of Parliament" butI think that's not necessarily the case

@Felthry yeah, I think Duvet and Comforter are the same thing, that's where the confusion of. thanks! ^^
@Felthry ohh I see yeah, okay, we usually use Duvet's in the UK rather than quilts. Duvets are like, just a big, flat pillow that spans p.much the whole bed, and have a cover that fits over them, that you can remove and wash separately without having to wash and dry the whole thing like with a quilt or blanket.

shit let me just quickly look up terms here because quilt and duvet are interchangable terms here I think?
there's always a base sheet, like a fitted sheet, or a flat sheet, that fits over the mattress, pillow cases, and then you have your duvet/quilt over the top of that which is inside a cover thing.
Sheets that go under/above the duvet are rare? I mean they do happen but they're usually pretty rare, as is a blanket on top (usually we just get a thicker duvet)
@Felthry i mean it basically is a sheet at this point, it's just I don't have a single layer sheet to trhrow on my bed, but we do have a plethora of spare duvet covers
we're at the point of british summer where we are officially into bullshit territory
i can tell because I am absolutely going to have to use, instead of a duvet, an empty duvet cover just so I have SOMETHING covering me so I can comfortably sleep, but also not something so thick that I become an easy bake sknq in my bed.

THE MOON RABBIT
Many cultures have interpreted the dark markings on the moon to look like a rabbit or hair. This has led to many myths and folk-tales about how that rabbit ended up in the moon.
Interestingly a lot of those story revolve around the themes of virtue through self sacrifice.
In the Jataka tales from India, The rabbit came across an old man begging for food. Knowing only how to collect grass, the rabbit threw itself onto the fire so the man would have something to eat. The rabbit miraculously was not burnt though, and the old man reviled himself to be a Deva, and touched by the rabbits show of virtue drew the rabbits likeness on the moon as reward.
There is a similar Japanese legend with localized elements.
In Aztec legend, there is again a similar story, of a hair offering herself to a hungry Quetzalcoatl, as the god traveled in human form. Again, the rabbit was placed in the moon as reward for its selflessness.
In Mayan art, glyphs, hieroglyphics, and inscriptions, a rabbit frequently is shown with their Moon Goddess and another deity related to the moon.
Interestingly, there is not believed to be any crossover between the Asian and indigenous American
moon rabbit legends.
In Chinese mythology the moon hair mixes herbs for the elixir of immortality for the immortals of legend.
