if that blurring works with say a screenshot of Sonic 1's waterfalls in Green Hill Zone Act 2 where you can walk in front of them, then job's a good'un and the blurring works fine!

I'd say that one worked good!

To even see what it's referencing you have to survive for like... 100 minutes? in an ever increasingly hellish bullethell sequence, without firing back on an enemy that only takes one point of damage before being destroyed, and without dying yourself from the swarm of bullets.
