okay so now I'm playing Shadow of the Woolball, a cute(ish) themed Wolfenstein 3d inspired Doom mod.
like, it's VERY, VERY wolfenstein 3d. like, hugely. four weapons, flat, block layouts of levels, sideways opening doors (done quite well I might add!) and similar textures.
Though it's not just a copy of Wolf3d in Doom, its got its own features too! It's... kinda ridiculously fun? and you get to play as a hedgehog.
I say cute-ish because you're still shooting people XD
The student bowed.
"Master, I am sorry."
"Why were you absent yesterday?" the sword master asked.
"I don't know. I... simply could not get out of bed."
"If this happens again..."
"Yes?"
"Allow yourself to stay in bed."
"Master?"
"A blunt sword can be honed. A broken one can not."

Seriosuly, windows 10 and the TV both see each other, I click "connect to wireless tv" on the PC, the TV gets the signal, tries completing the connection, then for SOME UNKNOWN REASON that windows will not fucking tell me beyond "something went wrong", it refuses. By all accounts, the graphics card fully supports Miracast/HDMI over Wifi, so it should work, they're both connected via wifi, I don't fucking get this what the shit. why isn't it working aaaa
windows 10: "Yeah I can connect to a wireless TV that's fine, oh hey! I even see the TV you want to connect to! We can try it if you like? But we gotta check with the graphics card first to see if it's okay."
Graphics card: "Huh? oh right lemmie check... Oh! Yeah yeah I can do that! I'm fully compatible! TV! You down?"
TV: "fuck yeah I'm down, I got this miracast shit built in! Let's DO this!"
W10: "okay, connecting!"
TV: "yaaah! I see it! Let's connect!"
?????: "lol no"
TV, W10, Me: D: ???
also kinda blowing my mind that a whole bunch of speedrun strats for it, I discovered myself when I was young and exploited them mercilessly to avoid some really awful parts of the later stages lol.
Also discovered a massive half level skip in Sky Fortess zone in Sonic 2 on the megadrive that I used EVERY TIME.
reminded again that the Sega Master System version of Sonic 1 had some rad ass music and was also a really great sonic game in its own right surprisingly as opposed to just an 8bit port of the Megadrive game because it was aside from the name and a couple zone names (and one track - green hill zone obviously), VERY different.
....okay this sin't just christmas music because it's a snowy mansion it's literally decked out for christmas why is there a christmas level...
...
fuck did I just kill a bunch of demons getting ready to celebrate christmas???
... wait a fuckin' second it's GODDAMN MAY WHAT THE FUCK WHY fuck it' ending them all.
yeah i'm moving over to chitter.xyz now. Soooo go there! I'm there now.
