Oh cool! So most of the gameplay is still the same, but there's obviously some new things, like mushrooms as bounce pads, a la ROTT, and of course there's still hostages to rescue, but not just hedgeys this time! Bird people and other things too! :D

oh and also coffee returns as the armour, lol.

already an improvement :3 can't jump on command, but Rebecca's got a KICK instead (nice sneakers too! very stylish), and can have SIX weapons :3 definitely an upgrade.

...then some kinda... i dunno... ghost? carves words into the cliff wall in front of you telling you to come north to the big clearing...

Honestly, Rebecca throughout most of this was just like o__o

during the whole exposition, and when thrown off the cliff was still like o__o "welp"..

THEN sparklees happened and she floated getnly down instead of pizzaing, and was like O_O???

and I'm just as confused as she is, but... so far so good XD

...so uh... the opening starts good. You're off to a concert on your skateboard, Scott, your boyfriend apparently, is running along behind you, and lags behind, so you wait for him, annnnd then you hear him get the tar beaten out of him. You rush back to help only to find out the badguy from the first game is still alive (somehow) after, quote "he blew my face off!", but now he's back, and is blowing up the planet, and throws you off a cliff...

... and... you... float? instead of fall???

now to play RISE of the Woolball! Which of course, is a sequel to SHADOW of the Woolball. In which you play the girl instead! Rescuing the other hedgehog! :D :D :D

and it's more inspired by, surprise, the spiritual successor to Wolf3d, Rise of the Triad! This oughtta be fun :3

MC and their girlfriend skipping merrily down a corridoor as they escape from the cat empire's planet (somehow?) hand in hand, as the entire base just merrily explodes behind them both hahaha

aksldf;jksdf the ending of Shadow of the Woolball is JUST as absolutely ridiculous as the rest of it and I'm dyiiing giggling.

okay so now I'm playing Shadow of the Woolball, a cute(ish) themed Wolfenstein 3d inspired Doom mod.

like, it's VERY, VERY wolfenstein 3d. like, hugely. four weapons, flat, block layouts of levels, sideways opening doors (done quite well I might add!) and similar textures.

Though it's not just a copy of Wolf3d in Doom, its got its own features too! It's... kinda ridiculously fun? and you get to play as a hedgehog.

I say cute-ish because you're still shooting people XD
