ALSO SHOUTOUTS TO THE TIME I LITERALLY WALKED IN AND BOUGHT A NEW COPY OF POKEMON BLUE INSTEAD OF A PREOWNED COPY WHILST TELLING MYSELF "psh I'm just getting this to see what all the fuss is about hahha"
AND THEN PLAYING IT FUCKIN' NON STOP FOR YEARS WITHOUT RESERVATION
shoutouts to that time when I legit got a gameboy classic while I was on holiday at like 16 and pokemon blue came out and I was like "pff pokemon that's for kids" while saving up my own money from my part time job, "there's no way this will catch on" whilst eagerly checking in to see if I could get a cheaper preowned copy of pokemon in the local Electronics Boutique store.
"it's just a silly fad hahaha" as I researched exactly what pokemon were in blue vs red to decide which to get
yeah like a dingus i forgot that fat32 has a filesize limit and i had formatted this sd card for fat32 because it was in an old (now not working) flashcart for my DS-Lite. Aaand I never reformatted it. I uh... I pretty much realised this the moment I posted that toot earlier ^^; but thank you all for the suggetions which came at the same moment I realised, so they did help me realise I had made a mistake ^^; Yes it's a genuine micro SD card tho, for definite. It was just formatted wrong
*puts 16gb sd card into reader, puts reader into computer, tries to copy over 4.5 gig file*
"THIS FILE IS TOO BIG FOR THE DESTINATION"
*...double checks sd card free space, showing like, 15 gig spare, tries again*
"FILE TOO LORG GET BIGGER STORAGE"
"windows what the shit why aren't you paying attention to the filesizes and how big this sd card is what the fuck"
"TOO LARGE, GET BIGGER SD CARD"
"IT'S FOUR TIMES BIGGER THAN THE FILE YOU FUCK"
"NO IT'S NOT LALALALA CAN'T HEAR YOU"
really though the idea that software will break in months if it's not constantly updated is absurd
using their own example of the adobe suite, did you know that adobe photoshop CS2, released in 2005 (nearly 15 years ago now), runs fine on windows 10? sure, the UI is dated, but the app *works*.
they also talk about how microsoft can't make money by repeatedly selling new versions of MS office without introducing something new. buddy... if you're not adding anything new, why should people pay for it anyway? if it's a subscription service where they don't add anything new, then how is that any better?
yeah i'm moving over to chitter.xyz now. Soooo go there! I'm there now.
