Honestly side from the fact that pretty much everything is closed until midday to check for damages and such, you could be forgiven for thinking nothing happened
(seriously, any time they're out there you can hear them yelling about Thoreau in hedgehog)
(in reality the People's Republic of Hedgehogistan is actually closer to an anarcho-primitivist collective what with their larking around foraging for food and not being concerned with the whole "civilisation" bollocks and therefore doesn't have ministers and stuff, but facebook doesn't need to know that bit)
The hotel is perfectly fine after the typhoon. It was swaying very very noticeably last night, but I managed to fall asleep during the full fury of it, then I woke up at 3am to a beautiful full moon, clear as crystal skies and a beautiful calm night. I would have gotten a photo but when I tried to get up I was so dizzy I nearly fell over. I'm fine now though!

If you're wondering why I'm bothering to check BBC weather reports for a country and city I'm already in, it's because very early on I discovered that the BBC weather reports for Tokyo were all but useless because they were so inaccurate as to be basically bare faced lies.
So now it's become a bit of a game, comparing it to more accurate weather predictions that seem to actually be trying to be accurate as opposed to throwing a dart at a board covered in weather symbols.
@Nine If you find someone in the middle of the storm enjoying a nice cuppa there’s your BBC correspondant.
yeah i'm moving over to chitter.xyz now. Soooo go there! I'm there now.
