Alcohol mention
So just noticed something. We've got a pack of alcohol free beer in our back fridge.
Not for us though, nobody here drinks beer. This is for visitors who want all the taste of a beer, but none of the inebriation, which, I know, doesn't make sense to me either because beer tastes foul, especially lager beers which is what these are. Idgi.
BUT. What grabbed my attention was the label, proudly, boldly even, proclaiming
0%
Alcohol free.
ebay seller: WANG BAR

anyways, please enjoy local communist kobold bard, Tennessee Ernie 'Bold, singing her heart out on this fine day.
Another PSA: Treat Black content creators like you'd treat someone in retail-like they're trying to hustle for money you know could be better AND that you treat them with profound graciousness and respect *even when they fuck up*. It's not white people's business to police Black people--especially at their place of work. Goddamn
ukpol, mass surveillance
"Two [unnamed] internet providers are tracking and collecting the websites visited by their customers as part of a secretive Home Office trial, designed to work out if a national bulk surveillance system would be useful for national security and law enforcement."
"The National Crime Agency confirmed it was working with the government on the trial.
“We are supporting the Home Office-sponsored trial of internet connection record capability to determine the technical, operational, legal and policy considerations associated with delivery of this capability,” the police agency said."
"Of the UK’s major internet providers only Vodafone confirmed that it has not been involved in any trials that involve storing people’s internet data. Spokespeople for BT, Virgin Media and Sky refused to comment on any measures around the Investigatory Powers Act. Mobile network operator Three did not respond to a request for comment. Smaller internet service providers say that they have not been included in any trials."
